It’s always been a dream/goal of our to capture highlights of a good fireworks display.
And being close to the Vibes Stadium (UCHealth Park) in Colorado Springs, it affords us many opportunities to do this during the summer months.
Since we were attending the actual 4th of July game this year, we figured we’d send the drone up after their game on July 3rd to get shots of that fireworks display.
This was the first legitimate attempt at capturing them, and we’re actually a little impressed with the results.
The portrait-oriented shots were taken from the game on July 4th just using a cellphone (Galaxy S22 Ultra, freehand without any stabilization). So there is definitely some blur in those shots, but we wanted to share them just the same.
And just for an added piece of information, this was the largest crowd in history for any team in the Pioneer League with well over 8,000 fans in attendance. Needless to say getting out of the parking lot after the fireworks were done was a bit of a nightmare.
